Wess Morgan is a celebrated gospel recording artist, motivational speaker, and author whose music reflects a rich blend of genres, including gospel, R&B, and country. Born in Singing River Hospital, Mississippi, Wess was raised in a deeply musical and spiritual family. His mother, Pastor Yolanda Morgan, was an organist in the church, while his father, Bishop Joseph Morgan, was a jazz guitarist. Together, they served as co-pastors, influencing Wess’s early exposure to music and ministry.

Wess spent portions of his childhood in New Orleans and Baton Rouge before moving to Nashville, Tennessee. In Nashville’s Hendersonville area, he connected with numerous artists and industry professionals, further deepening his passion for music. Despite his diverse musical influences, gospel remains his favorite genre.

Wess shares a powerful testimony of overcoming drug addiction and has been clean for over 20 years. Through music and motivational speaking, he inspires audiences worldwide with messages of hope and faith. He is the proud father of seven children—Adarius, Malachi, Joel, Lizzie (a gospel recording artist), Wyatt, Wesley, and Olivia—and has four grandchildren.

His latest single, “Churchy,” will be released on April 18th (Good Friday), a date close to his heart. Additionally, Wess recently published a 365-day devotional book titled Change Your Mind, Change Your World, available on Amazon. With numerous Billboard-charting hits to his name, Wess continues to spread the goodness of God through his artistry and ministry while preparing for an upcoming tour to share his new music and message: “I’m Churchy!”
